how closely do you look at logos...

This is SO HARD! Can you choose which is the correct logo - of various online companies? The only one I got right off was Amazon, only because I know the thinking behind it. The rest were almost total guesses...

hey, let me clarify to protect my honour - I got 3 - 4 right... but Amazon was the only one I knew for sure right away... the others were guesses!

I did absolutely horribly!!! I will study the logos, and try again. It doesn't help that I hadn't heard of some of the companies. What is Flickr? CNet?

OK Mom (am guessing you're OCI) -- don't feel so bad... CNET has actually been around since the early days of the 'dot-com' era - though they originally started as a technology news reports and reviews. Now I think their biggest function is product reviews (though not sure) - I used them when looking for info on cameras.
As for Flickr - it's a true 'web 2.0' darling, and one of the first in that bunch. It's a photo sharing site, where you can also tag your photos by topic, so anyone can find them. For example, say you wanted to design a card or something: you could go to Flickr, search for "birthday", and find photos that people had 'tagged' with that description, and then (assuming they weren't copyrighted!) use those photos...
